Some patients come to us because they want to learn healthy eating habits and lose weight while under the supervision of a doctor.
Others come to us because they have health issues, which they know will improve or resolve with weight loss or they have been recommended by their physician.
We are currently only seeing patients who live in the state of Pennsylvania.
If you live in PA, but don't live close to our office we do offer telemedicine programs. This is dependent on your insurance and what your insurance provider allows for telemedicine services.
Some of the services that you receive here will be covered by your insurance when you are enrolled in the Comprehensive Medical Weight Loss Program.
Insurance benefits will be assessed prior to your initial visit. Insurance may also pay for some of the FDA approved weight loss medications. We will work with your insurance company to find the medication which is best for you when appropriate.
Unfortunately, some insurance companies do not recognize Obesity as a disease and therefore with these insurance companies cover very little. We will discuss all of the services which are covered by insurance. We are happy to provide an itemized bill of the other costs to file with your health savings account if applicable.
We are currently credentialed with the following commercial insurances:
The majority of the Blues (Blue Cross, Personal Choice, Keystone Health Plan East, etc.)
Unfortunately, at this time we are not credentialed with any Medicaid Programs. If you have a Medicaid insurance you can subscribe to receive any educational material we release and can stay informed of some of the classes/programs we will be doing that you could participate.
Payment for any services not covered with insurance will be accepted in the form of cash, credit or debit at the time of your visit.
Body Contouring - Unfortunately insurance does not cover cosmetic services. We do have financing options available to help.
Services - There are some services that insurance does not cover. Specific medical diagnoses allow for a certain number of visits with a specialized provider. If your need exceeds that of what your insurance covers you would be responsible for the remaining balance. Insurance does not pay for personal training.
Medications - Some of the FDA medications are covered by insurance companies, most are not. Some generic medications can be used off-label in the same manner as the FDA approved medications to achieve similar results.
Meal Replacements - Meal replacements, shakes and bars are not covered by insurance. Prices are comparable to other commercial products. Some FSAs and HSAs will cover meal replacements. We will work with you to get as much coverage as you can.
There are no long-term contracts required for the Comprehensive Medical Weight Loss Program. You only pay for the services you receive. You are under no obligation to continue with the program after your initial consultation visit, however you must finish all of your assessment visits to be in the program. You are also required to visit with each discipline at least quarterly to ensure you are moving on the correct path.
Contouring - fees must be paid up front. There is no reimbursement for no-show visits however your visits can be rescheduled.
